Privacy Policy

BeautyBooks ("BeautyBooks," "we," "us") provides an online booking platform that beauty professionals and businesses ("Businesses") use to let their clients book appointments, pay deposits, and receive appointment notifications. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to beautybooks.cc and the booking pages we host for Businesses.

Information we collect

• Contact details you provide when booking or signing up — name, email address, and mobile phone number.
• Appointment details — the Business, service, date/time, notes, and booking history.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data — basic log and device information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

• To provide the booking service and connect you with the Business you choose.
• To send transactional notifications about your appointments (confirmations, reminders, and changes) by email and, if you opt in, by text message.
• To process deposits and payments through Stripe.
• To operate, secure, support, and improve the service, and to comply with law.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, BeautyBooks — on behalf of the Business you booked with — may send you transactional text messages such as appointment confirmations, reminders, and schedule changes. Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe at any time.

How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the service:

• With the Business you book with — your appointment and contact details, so they can serve you.
• With service providers that process data on our behalf under contract and only to provide their service to us — for example Stripe (payments) and our email and SMS delivery providers.
• When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.

We do not sell personal information, and (as stated above) mobile/SMS opt-in data is never shared for third-party marketing.

Usage analytics

To understand how well the booking flow works and where it can improve, we keep first-party usage statistics: which booking pages are viewed and when a booking is created, a deposit is paid, or an appointment is cancelled. Each record includes a timestamp, an event name, non-identifying numbers (such as a service id or a deposit amount), the general device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop), and, if you followed a link to us, the website that referred you (its domain name only, never the full address). They do not contain your name, email address, phone number, or any message content, and they are not linked to advertising identifiers.

We do not use third-party analytics services, advertising pixels, or analytics cookies for this. The statistics live on our own infrastructure, are used only to operate and improve the service, are never sold or shared, and are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Data retention & security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices

• Opt out of text messages anytime by replying STOP; opt out of reminder emails via the unsubscribe link.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us below.

Children

BeautyBooks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; we will revise the effective date above when we do.
