Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of BeautyBooks (the "Service"). By using the Service — including booking an appointment or creating a Business account — you agree to these Terms.

The Service

BeautyBooks is a booking platform that beauty professionals and businesses ("Businesses") use to offer online scheduling, deposits, reminders, and payments. Businesses are independent and solely responsible for the services they provide, their pricing, and their appointment, deposit, and cancellation policies. BeautyBooks is not a party to the appointment between you and a Business.

Bookings, deposits & payments

• When you book, you agree to the booking, deposit, and cancellation policy shown by that Business.
• Payments and deposits are processed by Stripe; by paying you also agree to Stripe's terms. Deposits, refunds, and no-show charges follow the Business's stated policy.
• Funds from deposits and payments are settled to the Business, not to BeautyBooks.

Text messaging

If you opt in, you consent to receive transactional appointment text messages from the Business via BeautyBooks (confirmations, reminders, and changes). Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel. Consent to texts is not a condition of booking. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity; no attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access; and no use that violates others' rights.

Business accounts

If you create a Business account, you are responsible for your account credentials, the accuracy of your listings and policies, obtaining proper consent from your clients (including for text messaging), and complying with applicable laws. Subscription fees, if any, are described at signup and are billed via Stripe.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. BeautyBooks does not guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any appointment or service provided by a Business.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeautyBooks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any Business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to BeautyBooks (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes & termination

We may update these Terms or the Service over time; continued use means you accept the changes. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
